Tying a Single Strand Diamond Knot

This is a very pleasing knot to tie, and for a single strand it’s quite attractive!

Often used on lanyards or simple key fobs, it has a nice loop at the top which one can make any size to suit one’s purposes. Here’s an example used on a simple zip pull.
